ANSYS 2009 Multiphysics Image Gallery Competition ResultsANSYS, Inc - a global innovator of simulation software and technologies designed to optimize product development processes announced the winners of 2009 Multiphysics Image Gallery Competition.
For the first time in the 8-year history of ANSYS Image Contests two companies from Russia are in the list of winners - EMT R (Moscow) and CompMechLab (St.Petersburg) with projects Aeroelastic simulation of air engine fan (EMT P) and FE analysis of human brain for solving the forward problem in Magnetic Field Tomography (MFT) (CompMechLab and City University London) became winners of the Competition.
For CompMechLab it is the fourth victory in ANSYS Image contests (2003, 2004, 2008 and 2009). This is a unique achievement among 79 winning companies in 2002-2009. Read More... (Reads: 22481)

Visit of Schlumberger representatives to CompMechLabOn January 15th representatives of Tyumen Production Center of Schlumberger, the leading oilfield services provider, trusted to deliver superior results and improved E&P performance for oil and gas companies around the world, have visited CompMechLab. CompMechLab publication in ANSYS AdvantageIn the December issue of ANSYS Advantage magazine the article Designing Safe Crackers by A. Michailov, I. Voinov and A. Borovkov is published. The artilce discovers some details about project performed in CompMechLab in 2007 at the request of chemical equipment manufacturer JSC Neftehimproekt and devoted to 3D structural analysis of a catalytic cracker taking into account the effects of external fluid flow as well as overall thermal and mechanical stress.
